As an alternative to school-based performances, the troupe is seeking student-generated videos on social-emotional learning (SEL) topics relevant to teens’ lives. Students, parents, teachers, and counselors can access the stories, articles, & videos online at home and at school via MWAH!’s Web site and social media accounts.

An Act of Kindness

Brody Klich, a 13-year-old from Wauconda, a northwest suburb of Chicago, has found a friend for life in Luke Goode, a University of Illinois basketball recruit from Homestead, Indiana. Luke and his parents had driven to Indiana in early May for the annual reunion of the basketball movie classic ‘Hoosiers’ where Brody was looking forward to meeting Luke, his current Hoosiers basketball idol. On the morning of the game, Brody had fallen in the hotel shower and was unconscious following an epileptic seizure. He received emergency treatment at the hotel by paramedics and later at Children’s Hospital in Chicago.

MWAH! alumnus Landon Ballard of Rockford, Illinois is recovering from a motorcycle crash on May 7, 2021. He incurred various injuries, including multiple fractures to his left wrist. Surgery is planned within this next week to repair the wrist bones. His motorcycle was totaled.
