Sometimes the most critical voice we hear, is the one within our own mind. We have to learn to take control of our thoughts and be able to stay positive.

Your Path in Life

Zori’s Plea For Suicide Prevention
This heartfelt message is from Zori Schiffman, a MWAH! Troupe alumnus, currently attending Miami University in Ohio.
Zori was deeply saddened by the loss of Jon Chambers Green, and he wanted to share what was on his mind with others, who may be dealing with similar feelings of loss or depression. If you are thinking about suicide, the first thing you need to do is tell someone.

Dealing With Loss
Morrison High School student Jade Stock reflects on the topic of loss—including the loss of a traditional senior-year experience—amid the COVID-19 situation that has unfolded across the United States in recent months. Addressing loss in general, Jade encourages teens—and viewers of all ages—to use the defeats that they experience in life in order to move on to their next stages of growth. “Sometimes you have to lose before you gain,” Jade observes. MWAH! invites you to view Jade’s reflection on loss and think about how you can transform setbacks in your life into opportunities for growth.
Dealing with Bad Days
Aaron West of MWAH! gives his tips on dealing with a bad day. Taking note of your mental state and understanding how you are feeling can help you manage your day in a more positive way.
Paula Sands Live (2017)
MWAH! Troupe members perform live on television.
MWAH!, now in its 37th year, recently came across a clip of our troupe’s appearance on the “Paula Sands Live” show in 2017. The program, broadcast from the KWQC-TV studios in Davenport, reaches viewers in the Quad Cities area. The clip features MWAH! alumni Landon Ballard, James Agena, Justin Smusz, and Taylor Oechsel chatting with the program’s host, Paula Sands, and singing the inspirational song, “You’ll Be Okay.”
The video also shows the troupe in a performance earlier that day at Walcott Intermediate School in Walcott, Iowa, which is part of the Davenport Community School District. The clip provides an outstanding overview of MWAH!’s focus—students reaching out to students to make a connection, and ultimately change lives and save lives through the performing arts.
