Needing Thoughts & Prayers
MWAH! alumnus Landon Ballard from Rockford, Illinois has begun what is expected to be a lengthy recovery from surgery May 20, 2021 on his left wrist and hand. He incurred multiple wrist fractures in a motorcycle crash May 7 as he was traveling to his parents’ home in nearby Cherry Valley following his third shift as a machine operator at a plant in the Beloit, Wisconsin area, located north of Rockford.
Landon and his wife, Amaria, are expecting a child in July, and he had not yet qualified for any type of disability benefits.

Six days before Landon’s crash, he attended a funeral visitation in Addison, Illinois for his fellow troupe member and friend Jon Chambers Green, who himself had been involved in a motorcycle crash on April 27, 2021. Jon died on impact in that crash.
There’s a photo and story on the MWAH! website and Facebook site of Jon and Landon, together with Landon’s brother Levi, in Springfield on May 28, 2015 when the three youths served together as pages in the Illinois House of Representatives at the State Capitol.
