Darnella at that time was – and still is – a Minneapolis teenager.

It took courage and bravery, but Darnella Frazier, then 17, knew that what she was watching ‘wasn’t right.’ 

 

Her video of the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer became what legal analyst Sunny Hostin called ‘the star witness for the prosecution.’

 

Darnella could not pull Derek Chauvin off George Floyd’s neck, but she could press record so that others might see what she was seeing. 

 

A teenager whose quick thinking and determination has changed the world.
