Stephen “tWitch” Boss, has died by suicide at the age of 40.

The famed DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, has died by suicide at the age of 40.

His death on December 13, 2022 is noted in an NBC Nightly News segment (link below) by Reporter Kate Snow.

Placing second as a child dancer on Star Search, his fame quickly escalated before being chosen by Ellen as her talk show’s DJ for the next nine years – until her show ended in late May 2022, when he had been chosen by Ellen to become the show’s executive producer.

The NBC segment notes that the U.S. suicide rate has increased 30 percent  during the past two decades and 53 percent among Black Americans.
