Andre Locke Sr. Attends the State of the Union

Andre Locke Sr. of the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, on February 7, 2023, was a special guest at President Joe Biden's State of the Union address in Washington, D. C.  Andre was invited by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

Andre lost a son, Amir, age 22, one year earlier to a botched no-knock entry by the Minneapolis Police Department.  Amir, an aspiring musician and an outstanding person in every aspect, was gunned down during the early morning of February 2, 2022, while lying in bed.

Rep. Omar has submitted in Congress on behalf of Amir Locke, and with the assistance of Amir's father, the 'Deadly No Knocks Warrants Act.'

Andre Locke Sr., a rap music producer and owner of a business focusing on transporting people with special needs, was a key leading member of the Chicago area-based Explosonic Rockers Street Jazz Theatrical Troupe from 1984 to 1989.  That issues-oriented traveling troupe, with a flair for street dance and for serving as a positive force for others, morphed in 1992 to the MWAH! Performing Arts Troupe.
