Working as a House Page.

This photo of May 29, 2015 is of Jon Chambers Green with fellow MWAH! troupe members Landon Ballard and Levi Ballard with Illinois State Representative Patti Bellock in her office at the Statehouse (State Capitol) in Springfield. Jon was 13, Landon 16, and Levi 14. They had been selected as House pages for that day, assisting various members of the Illinois General Assembly in a variety of tasks. Following their arrival at the Statehouse that morning, Jon, Landon, and Levi were introduced by Rep. Bellock from the House floor, and legislators and staff burst into applause. It truly was quite an exciting honor and a memorable experience for our three troupe members.

Before leaving the Statehouse, Jon asked for and received from House office staff two copies of a thick manual of Illinois governmental regulations and procedures – one copy for himself and one for one of his teachers at Indian Trail Middle School in Addison, where he had experienced a MWAH! performance for the first time on March 23, 2015. Rep. Bellock was so very gracious in hosting these three young MWAH! troupe members, and they, in turn, were grateful for that opportunity and their special day in Springfield.
