A school custodian in Hampden, Maine is also the winning part-time coach of his school’s elementary and middle school chess teams.  Appropriately, his name is David Bishop, and his teams are sweeping the competition.  His students agree that their goal is a national championship

On May 19, 2023, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed into State law a Judicial and Public Safety bill (Senate File 2909) that includes legislation banning no-knock search warrants throughout Minnesota.

A ban on nearly all no-knock warrants continues to move towards the desk of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz with a push from the family of Amir Locke, a victim of such a warrant.

Andre Locke Sr. speaks to the Minnesota House Public Safety, Finance, and Policy Committee and the need for a bill that would ban the use of no-knock warrants. It has passed both the Minnesota House's Public Safety and Judiciary Committees and has advanced to the Minnesota State Senate.
