A Wildcat Overcoming Adversity

Albert Kunickis III knows about adversity.

He knew about it when he played football at Lemont High School, a southwest suburb of Chicago.

Now he knows about it as he begins his junior year at Northwestern University – emerging as an impressive Big Ten football player despite a torn ACL during his freshman year.

Born without a right hand or forearm, his can-do spirit has impressed team-mates, coaching staff, and fans with his unstoppable spirit and determination – both on the gridiron and in the classroom.

Please watch the video below for a story about Albert by Reporter Patrick Elwood of WGN-TV in Chicago that aired June 11, 2024.
