Mo Pitney: A Star Shining Bright
Mo Pitney, a MWAH! troupe alumnus, is a collaborator in the song ‘Jordan,’ awarded by the Gospel Music Association as the 2023 gospel-bluegrass song of the year.
An earlier MWAH! website story noted that this song, released by Billy Blue Records, had been narrowed to the first round ballot.
The song also features Darin and Brooke Aldridge, Ricky Skaggs, and Mark Fain.
Mo moved from Cherry Valley, Illinois, which adjoins Rockford, to Nashville when he was about 17. He signed a record contract with Curb Records in 2014, when he was 21.
He has released two studio albums and dozens of singles since his move to Nashville with his family and has toured throughout the country.
He’ll turn 31 on March 24, 2024.
Mo, his brother, Blake, and his sister, Holly, were vital members of the traveling MWAH! Performing Arts Troupe for several years, including a tour of schools in the Nashville area in 2008.
